Your Questions, Answered

By A Noise Within
May 7, 2020

Many of you have come to us with your questions about the future, and we appreciate your open honesty as we all grapple with the ongoing public health situation. We’re here to address a few commonly asked questions about next steps for our theatre and why investing in a subscription is the best way you can support us and the love of the arts.

What will happen if you don’t open the theatre in August?

We will not open our theatre building until it feels safe to do so. Whether you purchase a PremierPass or a FlexPass, you will be able make good on that purchase whenever you do return. Your ticket credit will never expire. Our staff is developing several contingency plans for our season schedule, depending on how public health policies and timelines change.

How will you make sure that your audiences are safe?

We are in regular communication with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the City of Pasadena Public Health Department as we learn and implement best policies and guidelines for venues. We will continue to follow advice from expert health authorities and county officials as we plan for our re-opening.

For audiences who still may not feel comfortable returning immediately, we are exploring ways to share our beautiful productions with you virtually. We will provide more information as we learn more.

What if I prefer the flexibility of single tickets?

A FlexPass provides you with a set amount of tickets that you can use for whatever seats, performances, or dates you choose. Plus, you’ll get subscriber benefits like best available seats, free exchanges, and waived ticket fees. Your FlexPass is easy to customize at a moment’s notice, so you will have the freedom to change your plans as needed. Learn more about FlexPass options.

Why are subscriptions so important to the theatre?

Thanks to the sustained financial support of subscribers, we can commit ourselves to every facet of A Noise Within: our company of resident and guest artists, who channel their creativity, ingenuity, and visceral emotion into the brilliant work on stage; our vital education program, which provides workshops, academic resources, and live theatre opportunities to over 18,000 students a year; our dedicated staff, who work behind the scenes to keep our lights on both onstage and offstage. If you choose to subscribe, you can make sure that the arts go on for many years to come at our theatre.

What do I do if I have a 2019-2020 credit?

We would be immensely grateful if you would consider donating your unused tickets and receive a tax deduction for the full value of the tickets. You can also show your friends the importance of the arts by using your credit as extra tickets to take them with you to the theatre! If you don’t have the money right now to donate, help us out by using your credit to buy a FlexPass. Email boxoffice@anoisewithin.org to learn more. If you have more questions about becoming a pass holder, click here to read our frequently asked questions.

We are here for you if you have more questions or concerns. Please reach out to our Box Office staff at boxoffice@anoisewithin.org for more information about your subscription options.

We have also extended our subscription deadline to June 8, so you have time to learn and understand your options before single tickets go on sale for next season. The single most helpful thing you can do for ANW right now is to subscribe to our season and ensure that we can come back strong when our doors re-open.
