What is Words Within?

By A Noise Within
January 5, 2018

Can’t get enough of our Resident Artists? Neither can we! In our free reading series, Words Within, our RAs produce staged readings of plays that complement our running season – whether it’s other plays written by the same author or exploring similar themes.

At Words Within, you get a front-row seat to the creative mind. The RAs are responsible for choosing, casting, and directing the play readings, so they can let loose in ways you’ve never seen them do before. Treat yourself to a fun, free night of theatre and join us!

In preparation for Henry V, our next play reading will be Richard II, the first of Shakespeare’s plays about the House of Lancaster. Imagine a time when the governed no longer trust their government… Directed by Resident Artist Deborah Strang, our play reading will take you on a journey of political intrigue and murder, banishment and betrayal. Additionally, Resident Artist Rafael Goldstein, playing Henry V, will read for his character’s father Henry Bolingbroke.

Join us on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 7pm for Richard II. Admission is free! RSVP today.

All donations from Words Within benefit the Artistic Freedom Fund, which provides our artists with funding to pursue artistic projects.
