2018-19 Season: Trumpet I, Man of La Mancha

Joe Ferruzzo is a professional trumpeter, composer, and arranger who currently lives in Los Angeles, CA and freelances in the surrounding areas. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Trumpet Performance from Northwestern University and his Master’s Degree from the University of Southern California on a full scholarship. Besides having played over 30 musicals, he has performed and recorded nationwide with such popular artists as Elton John, Earth Wind and Fire, Andrea Bocelli, Michael McDonald, Chaka Khan, and Toto, as well as with acclaimed composers like John Williams and Maria Schneider. Joe has also acted as principal trumpet for several professional classical ensembles such as the Torrance Symphony Orchestra. He has performed for many high-profile events such as the Daytime Emmy Awards, and he performs regularly in countless jazz ensembles, salsa bands, and rock groups.
