High School Intensive Overview
At the Summer With Shakespeare High School Intensive, teen artists will not only hone their technical skills, but they will unlock new levels of their creativity and grow as an artist. From June 15 to July 17, participants will dive into a rigorous, college-level curriculum centered around the rehearsal and performance of Shakespeare’s essential classic Hamlet.
Participants will select from one of two specializations: Acting or Theatre Tech. Learn more about each track below.

FAQ
Should I take the Acting Track or the Tech Track?
While students should have an initial interest in theatre, both the Acting Track and the Tech Track are open to students of all levels of experience. Students interested in acting and performance should take the Acting Track. Students interested in non-acting positions in the theatre including stage management and theatre design should take the Tech Track.
What is the class schedule?
Classes run Monday through Friday. There are no classes on Juneteenth (June 19). Acting Track students attend classes and rehearsals from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Tech Track students attend classes and rehearsal from 11:00am – 5:00pm. Students are expected to attend all classes and rehearsals. A Noise Within respectfully discourages participation from students that must miss four or more days of programming.
What do participants wear?
All participants, both Acting and Tech, are expected to dress in clothing that allows for movement and can get messy. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes with a sole that are secure on the feet and are comfortable. No flip flops, sandals, short skirts, or very tight pants. Jewelry and hats must be removed for movement and combat classes. This level of readiness is extremely important.
Are tuition scholarships available?
A limited number of scholarships are available for Summer 2026; interested participants should complete this form in order to be considered. The deadline to apply for a scholarship for Summer 2026 is April 17, 2026.
