Ori Amir

Ori Amir is a visiting Assistant Professor of Psychological Science at Pomona College. Amir studies the neural basis for humor appreciation and comedy writing, using brain imaging (fMRI), eye-tracking, computational models and artificial intelligence. He has previously studied visual object recognition, perceptual pleasure and expertise. At night, he pursues stand-up comedy, which greatly influences his study of humor in psychology.
