Darryl Alan Reed

AT A NOISE WITHIN:

2023-24 Season: Debut! Understudy Soaphead Church / Daddy, The Bluest Eye

Darryl Alan Reed is a Chicago Native who began his acting career on stages there. He has received numerous theatrical awards, including Ovation, NAACP, Joseph Jefferson, Gay Chicago Magazine, and Black Theatre Alliance for roles and productions done in Chicago, Los Angeles, and other regional theaters, including an Off-Broadway and touring production of Dinah Was. He has also appeared in many television productions, most memorably Martin, Rizzoli and Isles, and American Tragedy. First include The American President, Sweet and Lowdown, (500) Days of Summer, and Christmas in Compton.

Mr. Reed also does historical characters for presentation to assemblies, classes, and conferences, and has also appeared in commercials for TV and radio.
