A Noise Within Producing Artistic Directors, Julia Rodriguez-Elliott and Geoff Elliott both hold Masters of Fine Arts from San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theatre. In 1991, they set an ambitious vision for ANW: to establish a home for the classics that would present a challenging repertory, take artistic risks, and ensure accessibility to diverse audiences. Through their passion and persistence, the theatre now ranks as a leading presenter of great world drama in Southern California.

Under their leadership, ANW has brought more than X productions to the stage and transformed a dream into reality with the establishment of its permanent Pasadena home. Their work in directing, acting, and producing has been widely recognized for its excellence, earning numerous awards and industry honors.

Their work has been recognized with numerous honors from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle for producing, acting, and directing. This includes the prestigious Margaret Harford Award, the Polly Warfield Award, and the Distinguished Achievement in Direction Award.

They are also recipients of the Stage Raw Queen of the Angels Lifetime Achievement Award, multiple Ovation Awards for production, and the American Conservatory Theater Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the field of theatre.
