A creative at heart, Kim has been a storyteller since her early childhood. She prides herself as a multi-hyphenate: writer, publisher, teacher and digital marketing expert. She is the founder of Brown Girls Who Write (, a platform created to promote, encourage, and unite women of color who write. As a marketing manager, Kim has worked with bestselling author, Jaunique Sealy (Black Girls Must Die Exhausted) and media companies, The Power Is Now and BXI Exchange, targeting and creating marketing campaigns, and expanding their brands and internet presence.    

Born and raised in Chicago, Kim graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Marketing and a minor in creative writing. She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA
